Marten Johns is an experienced Family Therapist, Registered Psychologist and Certified Clinical Neuropsychotherapy Practitioner. Marten is a Full Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT), Accredited Member of International Association of Clinical Neuropsychotherapy (IACN). Marten is also a trained mediator and Registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney Generals Department and a Member of the Australian Chapter of the Association of Family Court Conciliators.
Marten works with families, children, adolescents and parenting matters, consults couples and individuals regarding mental health wellbeing and mental health concerns, relationships, separation or divorce and healthy relationship development, sexual health and sexual identity, developmental life challenges, grief and loss, and substance use.
Marten has worked in the complex needs clinic consulting with clients while training and supervising practitioners in Counselling, Mediation and Family Therapy.
Marten has worked extensively with government, non government and private sector organisations in providing Employee Assistance Programs relating to critical incidents, resilience and mental health, workplace behavioural coaching and industrial matters.
Marten works in the private practice at Bower Place and Medicare Rebates with a Mental Health Care Plan and Private Health Rebates are available when seeing Marten. Also accepted are referrals from Employee Assistance Programs. Mediation and Family Dispute Resolution services are available.
