Kelly’s fields of practice have focused on her passion in working with community diversity with a focus on family support, case management, counselling, communication and education; people and families dealing with co morbid matters in their lives.
With qualifications in Education, Counselling, Positive Psychology, Family Support, Health, and Social Science; Kelly has worked in multiple fields of the community services sector, working extensively with individual children, young people, adults and families; including, Loss, Grief & the Funeral Industry, Community Education; groups, schools, VET and Universities, in Hospitals, Health & Aged Care. Most recently within Bower Place Complex Needs Clinic, dealing primarily with complicated mental health, AOD, disability, homelessness and child protection matters in conjunction with the therapeutic teaching clinic, and multiple other human service organisations such as various school settings, government and non-government sector agencies and councils.
Kelly’s Family Support Work & Community Development roles have extended to local, regional and remote communities as well as overseas, where Kelly worked with marginalized groups, women, children, babies and support workers in Uganda, Africa.
Kelly has worked extensively in leadership and coordination roles and within a vocational education and training sector Senior Lecturer capacity, designing, developing and coordinating industry immersed education and training within the family, youth, community and human service fields; case managing and facilitating student groups with a varied range of personal, professional and educational needs.
Kelly is currently completing further post graduate study in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice in conjunction with her role as General Manager which encompasses the Bower Place clinical, knowledge and training divisions.
