Josephine is a qualified social worker with experience in complex and comorbid mental health. She has a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Graduate Diploma of Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Certificate IV in Mental Health and a Master of Social Work, and is a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Josephine has experience working with individuals and families experiencing complex, comorbid symptoms and problems in a multi-systemic context. She also has worked with individuals at risk of suicide and those bereaved by suicide, in crisis support, and with adults, youth and children with mental health issues.
Josephine works systemically and within both the family and broader systems in individual’s lives, working collaboratively with families, schools, GPs, and other professionals. She has particular interest in mental health, trauma, developmental difficulties, domestic conflicts, social and emotional challenges, and family therapy.
Josephine is working towards her accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) as part of an internship at Bower Place.
