TAFE SA and Bower Place are offering the Certificate IV in Community Services which commenced in early 2010.
This Certificate IV is a competency based qualification within the Vocational Education and Training Sector. Based on National Community Services Competencies.
This is a unique opportunity to complete a Certificate IV qualification with specialist areas of study in:
Alcohol and other drugs
Domestic and Family violence
The main component of study will take place at Bower Place working with highly skilled practitioners in the Complex Needs Clinic and developing skills in being the first point of contact for clients. Further skills and knowledge will be developed using e-learning opportunities and through field placements in Community Services settings.
Applicants must have one of the following:
Satisfactory completion of SACE Stage 2 (or equivalent)
Any Certificate II in same area
Any Certificate III
Satisfactory achievement in the TAFE SA Core Skills Profile for Adult (CSPA)
Some students may be eligible to apply for exemption from part of the course due to:
Prior formal training (Credit Transfer)
Informal study, work experience and life experience; often referred to as Skills Recognition or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
