The Complex Needs Clinic (CNC) is open to clients and families who may be struggling with a wide range of issues. It is a low fee clinic with fees ranging from no cost (through Medicare) to $60 per appointment at Bower Place. These fees are subject to change. Should you require an offsite appointment, this is usually negotiated with your Practitioner.
Your sessions will almost always involve one or two students who are currently training with Bower Place. These students have been specially selected by our practitioners to work with you based on their training and level of experience.
As a client in the CNC, you have the opportunity to see your practitioner on a regular basis, and we are able to make appointments within a reasonably short time frame. However, please remember there are only specific times in the day the CNC runs, and we will be do our best to accommodate you in this time.
The Bower Place Complex Needs Clinic (CNC) is a low fee teaching clinic that runs from Monday to Friday each week. It is a vehicle for training, research, and the provision of high quality clinical services to clients. Our highly experienced practitioners work in the CNC alongside Malcolm Robinson and Catherine Sanders, consultants and Bower Place Directors. Students have the opportunity to work alongside our practitioners and clients in the CNC to develop and enhance their skills. All practitioners at Bower Place have an extensive background in teaching, with Malcolm and Catherine having over 60 years combined experience.
A new unit has recently been developed for students studying at TAFE SA to experience work in the CNC, which also has a research relationship with the Adelaide University School of Psychology.
Bower Place students complete their supervised clinical practice for the Graduate Certificate and Diploma of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice programs by working in the CNC. Bower Place accepts graduate students from all Australian Universities and higher education providers on a continuous basis.
The Complex Needs Clinic is open for 42 weeks per year, and offers therapy to a diverse range of clients.
