Assessments of intelligence are most commonly undertaken when questions arise about learning. If academic progress is not at the expected rate or there are questions around giftedness, learning style or behaviour a psycho-educational assessment may be undertaken. This will include an initial interview to gather background information, a standardised assessment of intellectual functioning and tests of academic achievement and other relevant assessments. Clients receive a detailed report including recommendations. Where possible a collaborative approach with schools is recommended to address learning issues..
