Explore training in mental health complexity on 9 October
The Bower Place Complex Needs Clinic (CNC) is a no or low-fee clinic that provides training, research and high quality clinical services to clients with comorbid, complex mental health problems. In the course of one session students who act as clinical assistants to experienced practitioners, may be directly or indirectly involved with families dealing with conflict and school refusal with adolescents, parents with a child with ASD, couples experiencing relationship difficulties where one has a major mental illness and families managing drug and alcohol problems.
Bower Place offers a range of teaching programs. These include vocationally oriented Certificate IV and Diploma courses with offered with our partner, TAFE SA, and nationally accredited Diploma and Graduate Diploma courses in systemic family therapy and counselling offered privately through Bower College.
The Complex Needs Clinic also accepts graduate students for placement from all Australian Universities and higher education providers and suitably qualified overseas graduates. Experienced practitioners are encouraged to attend occasional workshops and seminars designed to enhance professional development and systemic practice in complex cases.
